Kuluhenna Drama

Kuluhenna Drama is a free, weekly creative drama group for women from all communities in Leeds.

Whether you're looking to build confidence, connect with others, or just have a laugh, our sessions provide a supportive and joyful space to express yourself creatively.

Led by experienced facilitators, Kuluhenna Drama is open to women of all backgrounds and experience levels.

Why Join Kuluhenna Drama?

Kuluhenna Drama is not just a drama group — it’s a creative community that has brought together over 300 women since 2018. Our members have devised original work, performed in venues across Leeds, and discovered (or reignited) creative passions. The women of Kuluhenna Drama have formed lasting friendships with women from diverse communities, creating vibrant and joyful support networks across Leeds.

I didn’t feel shy or embarrassed...I loved performing and had so much fun with the other women...If you met me before Mafwa Theatre, I would say no to everything. I never think I would be able to do all this…now I tell myself: You can do it!
