Join us on 25th October, 6-10pm at Wharf Chambers for Tout.es Uni.es, a cabaret fundraiser hosted by Mafwa Theatre and Lift the Ban, celebrating Leeds’ refugee and asylum seeker communities.
The night will be packed with moving, joyful, and eclectic performances from local artists, groups, and all round talented folks. Expect games, speeches, music, food and solidarity. Scroll down for the full line-up.
The event is suitable for all ages and everyone’s welcome so bring your friends, bring your family and bring your neighbours!
All money raised will support Mafwa Theatre’s weekly workshops for refugees, asylum seekers and settled communities.

£10 - I am able to meet my basic needs fairly comfortably

Leeds Chinese Community School’s own traditional Chinese dance group will be treating us to elegant performances inspired by the ancient imperial courts of China.

Emily is a singer, ambassador for various refugee organisations and a Mafwa Theatre Associate Artist. She’ll be performing songs of hope and gratitude in Zulu.

Mahshid is an Iranian performance artist, filmmaker and Mafwa Theatre Associate Artist whose work reflects themes of identity, immigration and resilience. Her film Windswept explores the emotional and physical journeys of those compelled to leave their homeland using the universal language of movement.

Noksha is an actor and Mafwa Theatre Associate Artist. Her short drama Struggling Mum uses puppets to explore the impact of the right to work for asylum seekers.

Anne is a writer, singer, performer, campaigner and Mafwa Theatre Associate Artist. Her film Fear Freedom is inspired by the power, energy and joy of birds in flight.

Music House, a charity which aims to bring equal access to music and singing for everyone regardless of personal circumstances will join us to close out the night in song.
Based in the heart of Little London, one of the most deprived wards nationally, they work with the community to remove barriers to arts access and run a series of diverse community choirs and music groups.
Venue Information
Wharf Chambers is a members' social club in the city centre. It is a bar and event space that hosts live music, film screenings and talks.
You need to be a member, or guest of a member, in order to attend. To join, please visit their website. Membership costs £2 and requires a minimum of 48 hours to take effect.
Alcohol will be available at the bar and open to the public while Tout.es Uni.es! is happening but Tout.es Uni.es! will take place in a different room. There will be no alcohol served in this room and only people with tickets will be able to come in.
There are two toilets in Wharf Chambers. They are open to men and women. These are in the same room as the bar.
