4-Day Facilitation Training

  • Patrick Studios Leeds, England, LS9 7EH United Kingdom (map)

Join Mafwa Theatre and our Associate Artists for a 4 day training programme focusing on the skills you need to run creative sessions with people who use English as an additional language.

The training will be delivered by Mafwa Theatre’s Co-Artistic Director Tamsin and Community Engagement Worker Eman. Tamsin founded Mafwa Theatre with Keziah Berelson in 2018, building on many years of experience in delivering a variety of community arts projects with people who use English as an additional language.

Perfect for artists, recent graduates or facilitators wishing to develop their practice, this training will provide attendees with the skills needed to confidently deliver projects and run groups where English is used as an additional language.

By the end of the programme, you will:

  • feel more confident to effectively and safely run creative sessions with people who have different English language abilities

  • have added some appropriate creative activities to your toolkit

  • have practised adapting your creative practice for sessions

  • Be aware of safeguarding considerations

The training will take place in Leeds from 10am - 4pm. Trainees must be able to attend all dates.

Refreshments provided.

Groups will be small to ensure a high quality learning experience.
